‘What Was Written’ (ما كُتِب) is a collection about trust. About what is written for us, long before we understand it. This collection is intentionally made of seven one-of-one pieces. One of each piece, because what is written for you is yours alone.

In Islam, it is a number of depth and repetition; the seven heavens, the seven earths, the seven verses of Al-Fatiha, the seven rounds of tawaf. It represents completeness, protection, and divine order.

Every piece in this collection carries a carnelian (عقيق). A stone deeply rooted in Islamic history, worn, and cherished for centuries. Carnelian is associated with protection, grounding, sincerity of intention and strength of faith. It is a stone believed to carry barakah, to steady the heart, and to remind its wearer to return to truth. In this collection, carnelian is your anchor, and your reminder of what truly matters. 

Every piece except one, is engraved with a verse from the Qur’an, each chosen from a different surah. They are hidden companions to lean on. Every piece carries its own energy and story, yet together they form one narrative:

that faith is personal, that destiny unfolds in layers, and that even when we do not understand the path, we can trust the hand that wrote it.
